2020 Young Filmmakers Contest Under Way
April 17, 2020
Now is an opportune time to pull out your video camera or smartphone and get creative!
The JASNA Southwest Region's annual Young Filmmakers Contest is under way and open to all amateur filmmakers in North America under the age of 30. Students at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate-school levels are especially welcome.
JASNA Southwest is looking for original short films (five minutes or less) adapted from or inspired by Jane Austen's writing or life. Entries will be accepted until October 30, 2020, and cash prizes and bragging rights await the top three winners.
Download the Young Filmmakers Contest flyer for details, and be sure to check out past winning films on YouTube. You may also contact youngfilm@jasnasw.org with any questions.
Help us spread the word by urging the young film enthusiasts you know to enter. Or try your own hand at writing and directing if you qualify.
