Introducing: The Jane Austen Book Box Program

We're pleased to announce the launch of JASNA's new Jane Austen Book Box Program for schools and community groups in the U.S. and Canada! Our goal: to help teachers and reading program leaders introduce Austen to children in grades K-12 who are unfamiliar with her novels. 

Qualified applicants will receive a Book Box containing their choice of age-appropriate books, which can be used in a program of their own design. We only require that you 1) allow the students to keep the books for their personal libraries and future reading enjoyment and 2) share a report on the outcome of your project with us. 

We are now accepting applications for summer reading programs. Book Boxes will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualified organizations while program funds last.
