Winter 2020 Persuasions On-Line Released

JASNA marked Jane Austen's birthday with the publication of the Winter 2020 edition of our digital journal: a "gift of Jane" freely available to all on our website.

You'll find selected presentations from our 2020 AGM on a range of topics: Jane Austen's juvenilia, children's clothing of the time, women's corsetry, the recent Sanditon adaptation, and more. The issue also includes a special section on the theme "Staying at Home" with Jane Austen: Reading and Writing during a Pandemic. Essays discuss how people have turned to Austen during this time and how Austen dealt with challenges similar to those we face in her fiction.

Additional pieces on a miscellany of topics, memorials to Deirdre Le Faye and past JASNA President Lorraine Hanaway, and the 2019 Jane Austen Bibliography round out the issue.
