The Regency in Pop Culture
Our distinguished guest speakers Mary Bly (who publishes under the pen name Eloisa James) and Vanessa Riley (who will also be a plenary speaker at the 2025 AGM) are bestselling authors of Regency romances as well as of works of historical and contemporary fiction. Each of them will discuss their research into Austen's milieu, examine the role of "the Regency" in pop culture today, and share what they've learned from the author of Pride and Prejudice and Persuasion about how to write a compelling, enduring love story.
Tea and light refreshments will be served.
