2018 Young Filmmakers Contest Winners

Amateur filmmakers from across North America competed in the second annual Young Filmmakers Contest. Their assignment was to create an original short of five minutes or less centered around Jane Austen. The winning film premiered at JASNA Southwest’s December 2018 meeting at Sony Pictures Studio.

This winning film reminds us that Jane Austen created characters who are real and understandable, no matter what century we live in. We all know a Mrs. Bennet, and we love her for who she is.
