Claudia L. Johnson, JASNA’s 2008 Carol Medine Moss Keynote Lecturer, is Murray Professor of English Literature and Department Chair at Princeton University. Her books include Jane Austen: Women, Politics, and the Novel, Equivocal Beings: Politics, Gender and Sentimentality in the 1790s, and scholarly editions of several Austen novels. She is finishing a book on author-love, Jane Austen’s Cults and Cultures.
