Mahalo nui loa Jane for your contribution to literature. Your pen strokes are still evident in modern literature 200 years later.
Thank you for giving the world Lizzy and Darcy, Emma and Knightly. Anne and Wentworth whose stories I love to escape into when my real life gets hectic.

So many things that have changed in the world in 20p years, but some things remain the same. She was a genius of her time and paved the way for other women to be heard. We are still trying, but will work harder in the future, as a tribute to her example. Thank you Jane, for showing the rest of us who were also not as marriagable, that there was hope, and we could eventually be married to men who appreciated us beyond our looks and lack of fortune.

Thank you Jane, for everything you have taught me; for making me believe in love again. You gave me such a strong role model in yourself as in Elizabeth and Elinor whom I adore. Your words have made me stand my ground, forgive when I have been wronged and speak up against any unfairness I may witness. All the love from Puerto Rico.

    Transubstantiation
    At Winchester, Jane,
    I stood on your stone
    and pondered again
    by what indiscernible alchemy
    of lead into gold
    you, priestess of the ordinary,
    conjured plain bread and homely
wine into living blood and bone.

Dear Jane, it's fantastic how your stories are part of our lives 200 years after their publication. Even here in the tropics of South America your name is everywhere! Thanks for such delightful stories and memorable characters. In an imaginary universe you and your fans are close friends!
